My Wooby

Well, here he is, Douglas Boo...we call him Boo.

He's an awesome little guy...and, surprisingly, very calm for a yellow lab.

Ugh...I tried posting it like you said, Rei, but I still don't get the little picture...just a .doc file. Sad

Those will open for anyone who has Word software on their computer.

Pictures are usually .jpeg or .gif, not .doc

I'm guessing these are embedded in a Word Document. Smile I can't see the pictures, 'cause my laptop only runs Wordpad - I'll peek later with the big machine.

T, when you upload photos from your computer it should be a Jpeg File, not a word Doc...

I tried copying the prints to my desktop from me email where my wife sent them to me at school.

Is there another way to do it?

When I look at the thread at school...the picture doesn't show...but the little Word icon appears. How d I get it to be a little picture?

I opened the attachements from the email my wife sent me at school...I tried to save them to my desktop...but it saved in an Internet Explorer icon thinger....SOOOO...I tried opening Paint.

That didn't work...so, remembering howsome students used to save pix right into a Word document, I opened up Word and it worked...I didn't want it to be saved in WOrd, but I didn't know how else to do it.

Crying or Very sad

Suggestions?

So, you open an email and they are embedded in it?

Try right clicking on the picture itself - see if it gives you a "save image as" option. Then pick the location you want to save it to. Don't change the file type.

What E-mail service do you use? Hotmail? Yahoo? gmail? aol?

Some where in the e-mail it should have a "download" or "save attachments"

Or if they are embedded in the e-mail
Like the picture below.

All you have to do is right click the image and choose "save image as", then save it to some place you can find it (like my documents or the desktop).

[edit] Iv also attached an image to show you the difference. In the case of our forums, you ctrl+click the thumbnail (mini-picture) at the bottom of the post and it will open in a new window, then you can goto Edit ---> save and save THAT to your computer. Hope this helps [/edit]

THIS picture is an attachment, you click "download" and it will save this to your computer automatically.

My wife sent them as attachemnts, so I guess that woud not be embedded?

But, if I remember correctly now that I'm here at home, there ws a "save image as" option.

I'll check again tomorrow.

And, I'm really not sure what or school email is....the signin screen is Squirrel mail...with a little squirrel eating a nut of some kind...not too exciting.

Correct, if its an attachment its not Embeded, they are One or the other.

think about it this way

if you send somebody a letter and you draw the picture with in the text, thats embedded. But if you write them a letter and Staple a picture behind it that would be an attachment. Make more sense?

Im familiar with squrillmail, i think one of the groups i belong to has that as a mail server... hell it might be PCSAR. Either way it will have some way to save both types of pictures.
